No More Three Red Rings?
Microsoft has recently released a newer version of the Xbox 360 that apparently has fixed the three red ring problems. One of the major things that should be put to Microsoft is, why wasn’t this problem fixed within the first year of launch?
The console came out in November of 2005 and it was clear that it came with problems when the first lot of people started to see the red rings of death. What happens is the normal green lighting at the front turns red and when three pop up its control throwing time. This, in simple terms means that the console is beyond self repair and must be sent off to be repaired.
It is unbeliveable to think that the console has been out for four years and the solution to the problem has only just been put into the consoles. So what was the problem?
The red rings are caused by the console overheating as the soldering starts to melt which of course is never a good thing. Of course when this happens there is no way it can be fixed hence the three red rings. Of course there are ways in which you can fix the console for a small time and one of them is to wrap it up in a cold towel. Doing this will help you cool down the console. This is only meant to fix the console for a very short amount of time so you will indeed have to send it off at some point.
It isn’t really known why Microsoft have taken such a long time do fix this problem as it was costing them a lot of money to actually repair the consoles for free.
So whether it was the cable ties, Deutsch connectors or of course the electrical components at least they have fixed it.
